Registration

To visit the NHM Vienna with a school or youth group, registration is required. You can either book one of our educational programs or register a visit without booking a program free of charge.
Activities for schools that do not require booking an educational program include treasure hunts, audio guides, and many interactive stations throughout the museum.

200 years Gregor Mendel: lifting the mystery of inheritance

FULLY BOOKED

Why do plants and animals look the way they do? After a short guided tour through the NHM's exhibitons, a quiz show on Deck 50 introduces the students to the basic concepts of the theory of inheritance in a fun and entertaining way.

The Thin Skin of the Earth – Our Soils

The NHM Vienna's current special exhibition shows the biodiversity and coexistence of organisms in our soils. It adresses soil development, soil diversity, soil research and the destruction of fertile soils.

We offer an extensive supporting program for schools and youth groups with guided tours, workshops, and live microscopy of soil organisms. The program is available from September 2024, inquire for more details or consult the information sheet (German only).
