Mich interessieren verschiedenste Aspekte der Evolution von Krebstieren. Dies beinhaltet Phylogenie, Systematik, Phylogeographie, Populationsgenetik und integrative Taxonomie. Dabei verwende und kombiniere ich verschiedene genetische Methoden (z.B. DNA Barcoding, ddRADseq, Trankriptome) mit morphologisch-taxonomischen Daten. Mein Hauptinteresse gilt den süßwasserbewohnenden Branchiopoden, aber auch tiefseebewohnenden Peracarida (v.a. Amphipoda) und anderen Organismen.
